    The Fish Factory studios opening

Anyone in the Falmouth area this weekend as Im going to be exhibiting in my new studio at The Fish Factory art studios! We are having an official opening party on Sat 28th May 6pm -10pm.

Since January, a wonderful team of volunteers have been working hard to convert an abandoned scallop packing plant into an exciting new artspace for Falmouth. It's been a big job, but we've scrubbed the floors, painted the walls, cleaned out the rust and finally got rid of the fishy smell. Now The Fish Factory is ready to welcome artists into our studios and the public to the gallery to see regular exhibitions of Cornish contemporary art.

You can find us at Falmouth Wharves, North Parade, Falmouth, TR11 2TF, midway between the Greenbank Hotel and Premier Marinas Falmouth. There is parking available nearby on North Parade.

Hope to see some familiar faces! See you there,

    Art at the Chilli Farm...

I was chuffed to be asked to do a wall mural by The South Devon Chilli Farm crew. Though I did chicken out slightly and decided to paint it onto a wooden panel rather then straight onto the walls. Its 8 x 4 feet and will go up in the brand new and eagerly awaited, expanded shop and cafe. It probably had about 6 coats of maximum hold hair spray as most of the line were done with charcoal!

The new shop should be opening next week so if anyone is around the South Hams please pop in for shots of the worlds hottest chilli (followed by shots of milk) and chilli chocolate samples.

Mambo Surf De Luxe Tee shirt entry

Mambo Surf de Luxe blog post....

Ere, Diggy Smerdon has submitted two more designs to the Mambo artist search…

‘There is something about Mambo that reminds me of one of my weird, quirky, creatures that come out as I doodle…. a bit freaky, unconventional & different…. they always turn out to be my favorites. Any brand that’s not afraid to use real art is cool to me!

The two designs I have created are ‘Mambo Vagabonds’, my own made up creatures which look a bit like one bearded, wild roaming dude and one rebel pirate monkey!’

Hey there folks, can you all do me a favour and vote for my design to help me become the next Mambo artist , so I can continue to have fun making tees for Mambo!

To vote first visit the Mambo facebook page and 'like' them then go to compeition entries and press 'like' for the Diggy design....  facebook.com/mambosurfdeluxe
