Anyone in the Falmouth area this weekend as Im going to be exhibiting in my new studio at The Fish Factory art studios! We are having an official opening party on Sat 28th May 6pm -10pm.

Since January, a wonderful team of volunteers have been working hard to convert an abandoned scallop packing plant into an exciting new artspace for Falmouth. It's been a big job, but we've scrubbed the floors, painted the walls, cleaned out the rust and finally got rid of the fishy smell. Now The Fish Factory is ready to welcome artists into our studios and the public to the gallery to see regular exhibitions of Cornish contemporary art.

You can find us at Falmouth Wharves, North Parade, Falmouth, TR11 2TF, midway between the Greenbank Hotel and Premier Marinas Falmouth. There is parking available nearby on North Parade.

Though I did chicken out slightly and decided to paint it onto a wooden panel rather then straight onto the walls. Its 8 x 4 feet and will go up in the brand new and eagerly awaited, expanded shop and cafe. It probably had about 6 coats of maximum hold hair spray as most of the line were done with charcoal!

The new shop should be opening next week so if anyone is around the South Hams please pop in for shots of the worlds hottest chilli (followed by shots of milk) and chilli chocolate samples.

This is a short film showing artist Diggy creating custom art on a hand shaped surfboard by Luke Young. It shows the whole process from painting the artwork on to the blank step by step, to Luke glassing the board and finishing it off ready to wax up and ride. The board was commissioned by Panda Eye surf photographer Ollie Howe and was created in South Devon.

This film was sponsored by Avalaan
The soundtrack was by Blue Tech
Luke Young//www.lukeyoungshapes.co.uk
